Pitty. But this game was progress. Much more confident UNT can win 3 of the next five than i was before this game.

I will give Morris credit for having balls in this game. That said at some point you have to improve on that 4-th down percentage.

Passing was too aggressive in that last series of downs. Had plenty of time to throw short of the sticks on first and second instead of slinging it 15+ down field.
Too bad our defense didn’t do a little more to help out.

If you have to improve on 4th down percentage,  then you shouldn't worry about improving on 4th down percentage.  Once your team is relying on that then there's 10 other things you needed to fix first

There are no moral victories, but I’m encouraged by:

- The fact that we have a QB FINALLY.  There is no controversy, Rogers is your guy

- The defense showed signs of life

- Nobody is more upset by this loss than our team.  I guaran-damn-ty you they believe they should won

- Thousands of North Texas alums just saw their squad go toe to toe with a squad that ended last year with a Cotton Bowl win over USC

- I now have a reason to begin my homecoming tailgate on FRIDAY!!!

Sounds like a moral victory to me

I don’t know you, besides what you say on this site,  but I agree with everything you have said in this chat today. This team can only improve and we lost what was supposed to be some of our best offensive and defensive players before the season started to the portal.

Very proud of the second half effort. If we can learn to do that in the 1st half too, we will be a really good AAC team. The rest of our schedule doesn't look as bleak after this performance.

But, the receivers have to learn to sit in the zones and let Chandler deliver the ball. Those passes weren't behind them. They were in the open spots in the zone. And, while the defense can come up with big plays, they still can't consistently stop the run.

Ball at the end of the game with a chance to tie or win against #23 on the road.  Can’t ask for much more than that.  Horrible timing on a freak tripping on that last 4th down play.

Feel like we turned a corner in the second half that may save the season if we continue to play that way.
