Hopefully not New Mexico or Bahamas. Neither does any good for recruiting. Beating Tech in Dallas would do wonders trying to recruit kids throughout the region if we can pull off the win. If we lose, I do not think it hurts us because the kids who were not committed see it as what they expected anyway.

Seconding N'Awlins Vet..... CUSA accounts now posting Congrats to UAB on the Bahamas Bowl, so that's a bullet dodged as far as I'm concerned.... and also makes me wonder about the "champ picks the bowl" bit we've heard

I would think the first and second picks in the conference would want a P5 team regardless of location. That would mean the HoD & Indy bowl as fill-ins. I could also see FAU wanting to stay home and play a good G5 team in the Boca bowl as well.

New Mexico and New Orleans bowls are both on the first weekend of bowl season.  Can't imagine the coaches will want to play that early in the bowl season if they have a choice.

I'm all for HoD against Tech or Texas. I'm sure the bowl's officials would be drooling over the probably attendance numbers of both of those matchups.
