Here we are on a Wednesday, and still no prediction thread...  we must have lost last week.

Mason Fine came crashing down to Earth against UTSA.   Can he bounce back this week?   Can the guys keep their mitts on the ball?  Can the defense keep LATech out of the end zone?  Will Homecoming bring a bigger, more enthused crowd, ready to cheer the Mean Green on to victory?

The Bulldogs are averaging over 46 points per game!  They're also giving up quite a few points defensively. They are eyeing a C-USA West division title and a rematch with MT for the conference championship...  One I think they can win.

This game may be close at the half, but I think LATech pulls away late in the 3rd.  We cover the ridiculous spread, but barely, and we hold them just under their season average:

UNT - 28
LATech - 45

Prove me wrong fellas!

I had this one pegged as an automatic loss, but I also had UTSA pegged as an automatic win, so what do I know?  Taking the kid to the game for the first time this year (band competitions prevent her from ever doing anything on Saturdays anymore).  UNT tends to do ok when she attends and Todd Dodge isn't coaching, so...

I see this going much like the MUTS game... we'll play tough and proud, but we just don't have the horses to run with LaTech right now.  Of course, if LaTech decides to implode with 7 turnovers, then reverse that score  :-)

This is Homecoming...great weather forecast, good crowd to support the team. Our team is pissed because they did not play up to their potential last week, while the Dogs are fat, dumb and happy coming into this game. I am going to go against all the conventional indicators for this game. UNT will score at least once in all three phases of the game. They will start fast this week for a change. This has the potential to be a shootout. At the end of the day, I say:

Mean Green   41

Dogs              38

Pray For A Miracle!

      A few HSO's

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
