UTSA Zona Game Thread

I know the NFL season kicks off tonight but for college football, all eyes turn to San Antonio tonight as UTSA takes on Arizona. This is a huge game for their young program. My question to Mean Green fans is, do want them to pull of an upset or would we rather see them lose? A good showing by UTSA is good for C-USA but could hurt us in recruiting. Personally, I'd like to see them win. That just makes our matchup(s) more meaningful. We just need to show up this year and get a W when we go to San Antonio.

Call me crazy but I think that Road Runners will have the opportunity to win outright tonight. The spread on the game is Arizona -7, which seems like such a sucker bet. And on top of that, everyone from the public to the sharks, are jumping all over Arizona -7. 9 times out of 10, when you see that much of action in one direction, Vegas slams the book on you. Vegas is giving a lot of respect to UTSA and they're right much more often than they're wrong.

In theory, you are correct. Until the AAC or MWC comes knocking on utsa's door when they string together a couple of good seasons.

I get it....it is a reality...they have a big tv market, destination city & appear to have a very good handle on the importance of strong football program in their first 3-4 years. I wish we would have put a little more fuel on the football fire in the 80's...

IMO...you can't be scared of losing them to MWC or AAC...we need to amp up our own volume...get more wins...garner more attention and respect for NT...who knows...maybe we both get a shot to move up a notch...

In the end...you want teams in your conference that appeal to others...stronger is better.

let's start with a win Saturday over SMU...
