Offensive play calling

We have become one dimensional due to our DOA running game, so placing blame on DT, who just brought us back for the tie, is a little uncalled for. Chico runs hot and cold for whatever reason.

To be fair.... that might have been his worst pass of the day.

Come on, we have no running game. Are we really gonna blame Derek?

Very true. We pass block but we don't run block. We had strong symptoms of that last year even though we got some yards, but this OL is just not powering anyone out of the way and creating lanes. Derek gets plenty of blame too. Disappointing.

DT is what he is, one of those things is inaccurate. There were some great catches made today, especially early in the game. DT did seem to find a way to bring the ball down some. Maybe his arm was getting tired like a pitcher late in the game. ;)

We don't have a running game because no one respects DT so they stack everyone in the box. We have a terrible QB there's no sugar coating it.

Burned them long just about every time we tried today.

We just don't try very often at all. That is coaching and not DT's fault.

And that last TD pass was a duck, but it was a duck because DT got leveled as he was throwing the ball.

We don't have another QB that could take that hit and deliver the ball down field like that. He saw the receiver breaking open and knew he was gonna get hammered there. The problem is, if he showed the same patience on the first and second possession of the game we score easily and start the game 14-0.

I still question the QB draw on 4th and 1 from the shotgun. That was so Dodge-like it made me want to puke!

If there is no fear of the QB then it's east to stack up the line and stop the run

There is no fear because they know we will ran on EVERY 1st down in the 1st and 2nd quarter, and the seldom times that we pass, it will be a bubble screen, screen, or a dump to the running back. We won't throw vertical.

We refuse to even try. Easiest team in America to game plan against.

Tulane was blitzing often on 3rd down, daring DT to beat them passing. They read the book on this offense, play the run 1st, and make them beat you in the air. Sometimes DT plays above it and the team wins, sometimes he plays in their favor and NT loses. I don't blame him solely, but his pick 6, and numerous bad throws in key situations can't be overlooked.

Next week he'll probably play like a world beater. This is just how it is...

If the coaches didn't put DT in 3rd and long situations early in just about every road game, DT would be more successful. He is not Johnny Manzel and never will be, but the coaches are not maximizing his talent.

Hard to be successful when the defense knows what you are going to do 80 to 90 percent if the time .

So what does that tell you about DT? He should make those throws. He's an FBS starting QB for 3 years. You make them you win.
