"the Convoy"

last night i was listening to jub jub on the call of the game as nwigwe picked off the past sealing the game for our mean green. i completely lost it with excitement and couldn't wait to watch the game and witness what georgio called "the convoy" of players escorting nwigwe into the endzone. well, somehow my DVR decided to cut off after 3 and a half hours of the game leaving me bitter this morning when i found that i didn't have the footage i'd been waiting for.

if anyone has it and can post just that final play on youtube or something, i would be forever grateful.

I just new realized this myself as I DVR'ed the game too as I was driving up to Denton. Freakin pisses me off. In fact, mine cut off with 9 minutes to go. Missed nearly the entire 4th quarter.

I have the entire thing DVR'd, and they cut out pretty quickly.

They had a shot of the team celebrating, and Toby got a lot of love but I don't recall a "convoy". If there was one, I missed it or it was not on the tube.

Channel 11 showed the "convoy" and the end zone celebration as the last item of their sports segment of the 10 o clock news last night. Maybe they would post it if enough people requested it.

The replay is available on ESPN360.com. It starts with about 10 min. left in the first half. It showed the the interception, the run by Tobe and the celebration at the end of the game.

ANY TIME YOU TIVO SPORTS... Add at least an hour to the record time. 9 times outta 10 a game goes longer than the allotted spot and the system doesnt know the game is over, it just knows the time slot is closed. Many a mavs game have been lost for me this way and the guys at AT&T told me to add an hour to everything sports related

I did think it was interesting that right before my dvr cut off there was a shot of Dodge trying to take a timeout with the clock running down and Deloach was behind him in the background trying to tell him no, and when the referees blew the whistle Deloach had a real disgusted look on his face

I followed this logic last night and had the DVR set to 4 hours of recording. I looked at my watch when the live game ended and thought this was plenty of time to archive the entire game. Unfortunately, 4 hours didn't account for the fact that the Mavericks post game show would go over leading to the Ch. 21 game broadcast starting even later than 10pm. The DVR cut off with 21 freakin' seconds left in the game. Thank goodness for ESPN 360. I watched the game live online and can still watch the end online.

I was coming back from out of town and was listening in the car last night and after that occurred, my wife asked me to stop screaming at the radio.

I cannot understand that call. Could someone ask him about that at the Pourhouse tomorrow?

may have to deal with not having much faith in the defense holding them off at the 1.5 yd line and wanted to give the offense the most seconds available to try and do a hail mary or two. Not a bad decision overall with the way the defense had not held very well for most of the year.

But in the end HUGE PROPS for the D on two Goal Line Stands!!

I'm dumb. The convoy is there.

If anyone knows how to get DVR recordings into my computer drive, PM me. My DVR unit has usb port, but I don't think it recognizes thumb drives, etc...

Any ideas?

I just watched the end of the game on espn360. Now, I wish they had not let WacKY get down there in the first place, but regardless that was a goal line stand of rare proportions. Impressive work by Hill and Nwigwe in particular in not letting them through. The Topper faithful are not going to forget that one anytime soon.

What about Riley Dodge? Where does he fit in?

If someone puts this on youtube they need to put the convoy song with it with the rubber duck on the cb radio. That song is corny but would still be funny.
