Albino Squirrel Mascot?

There was albino squirrel talk at Louisville when I was there too... not at all unique.

At least its a clean mascot suit unlike dirty scrappy.  Doesn't bother me if people take pictures with it and get a kick out of it I say worth it.

@FirefightnRick - What are your thoughts about this on the sidelines in the 4th quarter today?  Do tell...

If it’s being promoted as an official tradition then I think it shits on every tradition we have and is a middle finger to every alumni that sees it.

As an alumni, and a decently successful and not particularly youngish one, I say buck that trend! Our football history isn't exactly a tradition we embrace. Unt is in a new place, a better place. Let the albino squirrel lead that non-traditional charge!

there's a place for tradition and a place for change. embrace both and become a better institution

sources: 3 degrees. so screw ya'll. I paid for the right to this comment

It is not unique to us.  We rode the coattails of a UT thing.  That’s fine and all, and if people want to have fun with it, fine.   But it’s not unique to us and doesn’t have a place in our catalogue of traditions.  I personally find the whole thing manufactured and boring.

Do you think they care at all about that? That stupid thing is here to stay...

I’m sorry y’all, I had no idea this was coming when I mentioned it earlier this week...  but yeah, that thing can go.  Not a fan of two mascots at once unless there’s a female Eagle mascot to go with Scrappy, but we all know in today’s world that simply cannot happen anymore.

Wait until we get the student body to vote on this Albino Squirrel being our main mascot soon enough again...

So we spent money on a white squirrel outfit?  Where is that thing stored?  If needs to go away....for good.
