There was talk that Texas would go bowling if given the opportunity. This puts that to rest.

That talk was before Herman announced he was not asking his new hires to immediately quit their old jobs.  They won't be asked to report until after the bowl season.

This is an interesting article. McMurphy seems pretty sure we play in the HoD bowl in several scenarios.

It makes sense that Texas would rather hide out in Austin than play the likes of North Texas, but this would have been a great opportunity to sneak up on the Longhorns.  No HC, no coaching staff, no top running back.  Oh, and no Sourhwest Conference refs in the end zone.
