Thanks.

Thoughts on this?

On the offensive side of the ball, we can take these kinds of risks... several of them... especially if they're in the form of anyone related to the Leach system.  We can look for guys on an upward trend similar to Littrell.  Young guys who will be here for 1-3 yrs, do well, and move on to a P5 job like coaches Bowen, Joseph & Walters a few years ago.

Defensively, we can't make a bunch of hires like this.   Littrell is offense, offense, offense.  He's going to need an anchor he can trust running the defense, and he's going to need to give that person alot of freedom because he's probably going to be busy installing/running his offense early on.

The DC and several of the defensive position coaches must be more experienced than guys like Harrell & Filani.   Sounds like we'll have KP on the D-line.  Hopefully the DL results will be different next year under a new DC's scheme.

I know the fans of many bigger programs were talking about bringing him in, not sure if any P5's were genuinely interested or not. I think this is a steal and could see us being a stepping stone for him to a much bigger program. He fits all the characteristics of an up-and-coming young Offensive Coordinator. Former NFL QB, Heisman trophy candidate, Texas high school football champion, Leach disciple. Imagine the appeal that will have to recruits as opposed to Coach Canales, with all due respect to all his fans on here.

Plus who can forget this unbelievable throw to Michael Crabtree to beat Texas? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKFTs_MeILY

If the Texas safety doesn't drop the interception on the previous play it never happens.  Such is sports.

The corner in that play Curtis Brown burned me really bad in high school. Slow white defensive end couldn't cover him.

I know I'm going to get a lot of -1's, but haven't we been acquiring coaches from the other D-1 school that got beat by Portland St.?

Since we're never going to schedule Portland State for the rest of time, that's not a problem. The I-AA Colossus of the Willamette will never darken our scoreboard again.
