Best All-Time Transfer to North Texas?

I've been thinking about what transfers have really thrived on arrival here...

I'd guess there would be 4 categories for this:

P5: Marcus Trice

G5:

Juco: DeAndre Torrey

FCS/Other:

Those were the only ones that popped out right of the top of my head to start the discussion. But i'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Wasn’t Ejiya a JUCO and not a traditional transfer as well as Guyton?

I would go with Trice from a P5 and Richards from a lower level school

I think he was proposing them for the Juco discussion. I think the case could be made for all 3. Personally I’d have a close battle between Torrey and Ejiya. Too close to call.

They were both JUCO but the original poster included JUCO as a category so both those guys immediately came to mind.

If only traditional, I have to say Trice considering he was one of the leaders of that 2013 defense.

Jordan Case started out at Sul Ross but transferred after 1 year when they cut scholarships. Backed up Ken Washington for 1 or 2 years before getting his shot

Riley Dodge didn't hang around long but was an impact

The biggest name/highest profile kid out of High School hailed from Cedar Hill, TX. Career had already been  derailed by off the field issue(s) and injuries.

Riley came to us straight from Southlake and was with us for 3 seasons. He transferred to McNeese after Coach Dodge was let go.

Can we even count Cole since he was never eligible to play a down here?

I listed Riley because he was committed to UT

Threw in William Cole as perhaps the biggest named kid to transfer. Never played a game but did practice

Purposely didn't mention any JuCo's

I don't think it counts as a transfer if they never enrolled in the first school.

Not even close

He never played with anyone else

Maybe he meant Keith Frazier. Either way, we should keep this thread to football and specifically football players since a coach doesn’t really transfer.
