I appreciate the decision to have 2 RB spots, so both Wilson and Dunbar could be on this, because they both reeeeeaaaally deserve it.

Some of the guys I voted for did not make it, but I cannot say that the players who did make it instead were anything less than the kind of players that I would be ecstatic to have on next seasons team

Carlos Harris is a bit of an outlier here because as many know here, Andrew McNulty looked almost exclusively in his direction for 2 years. Mason Fine and Derek Thompson distributed the ball fairly evenly. While Carlos was good, his statistical success over the others was more a product of having a quarterback not capable of finding his second and third options than it was him being a better player than the others.

I don't think it's fair to hold McNulty against Harris though.
If Harris was the receiver McNulty's plays were repeatedly designed to go to, and he happened to get open despite being the only real threat, AND McNulty happened to find him... that's actually a testament to his abilities! 😂

I'm glad someone brought up Chancellor.  I felt he really made the 2013 offense go.  Playing in the Mason Fine era, I think his numbers would have been notably improved.

Darvin Kidsy of the Washington Redskins would disagree, as likely would Marcus Smith (who is on this list), Turner Smiley, Tee Goree, Darius Terrell (who came from the Longhorns bc he didn't want to be a TE), or Jeff Wilson of the 49ers.

I have been of the opinio that Brelan was really, really good.  He was Carlos, but had an extra gear, better balance, core, and just as much grit.  If I had to give Carlos the nod in anything, it would be that "wiggle" you like to see when open field space is limited.

@MeanGreenTexan would love to see what those numbers amounted to in YPC.

So great to see Lairamie on this list.  That dude was so tough.  Trice and him were a great duo.  I won’t argue any of the list.  It’s perfect.

He wasn’t here long enough, but Eric Jenkins sure had great moments.  And Kenny Buyers was a tackling machine, especially early.  All that said, this list is correct.

I’d take Kaydon Kirby over Fortenberry.

2015:
• Named to the Remington and Lombardi Award watch lists
• Played in and started 10 games at center, before suffering an injury against Tennessee
• Dating back to his redshirt freshman season, he had started 35 straight games at center

2014:
• Started all 12 games and has started 25 straight games at center

• The Mean Green rushed for over 200 yards on three different occasions in 2014
• The Mean Green ran for 21 touchdowns in 2014, which is tied for the eighth most in school history.

2013:
• Named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team after starting all 13 games at center
• Was part of an offensive line that has allowed only 11 sacks on the season and the fewest sacks in the nation with 17 over the last two years
• Paved the way for Brandin Byrd to rush for over 1,000 yards
• Was part of a record-breaking offense that has set a school record for total yards in a season with 5,336
• First freshman to start every game at center since Andy Brewster in 2001

2012:
• Redshirted

The blind test tells me A, C, and D.

The eyeball test tells me B, C, and E.

Regarding the stats:

1). I have completely underrated Darden.  Very impressive stats and much better than would have guessed.

2) Considering Guyton’s stats are for only two seasons, I’d say he stacks up well.  Imagine adding even a mediocre season to his current stats.

3) Had Guyton come back this year it would most likely negatively impacted Darden’s stats,

4) Maybe Brelan wasn’t as good as I remember him, but man he seemed so electric with the ability to take it to the house every time he touched the ball.

5) Maybe Carlos Harris is better than I remember.  Not to say I didn’t think he was great, but I can’t believe how much better his numbers are than Brelan’s.  I just always considered Brelan the better player.

6) Thanks for posting...good stuff.

That defense is absolutely loaded. Sarge or Akpunku also could have made it. I wonder what a UNT team fielding all of these guys would look like. Dick Abbe eating the middle of an OL with those LB's flying around would be insane.
