He will certainly use his entire scholarship allotment, but it would be smart to concentrate his NIL spending on just the 8-9 players in his rotation.
Ole Miss football NIL allocation is also interesting. They are spending all of their money on a couple players at the top of their roster. Not as much money for everyone else.
Meanwhile, Texas Tech is guaranteeing something like $25K to every player in every sport, even the walk-ons. Why would you waste $25K on a replacement level player at the bottom of a roster?
It will be interesting to see how the different NIL strategies play out.
I bet Dusty May steered this guy to Ross, who probably steered Rubin to Michigan once it became apparent he wasn’t coming back. Ross and May have a good relationship so I bet this guy can play.
