Excellent news. Congrats, Tony.

The great thing to me is that UNT has several players, in addition to Tony, on this year's team that could very well see SBC weekly honors befopre this season is over.

It's gonna be hard to win it again with only one conference game this week.

Yep, purely an exhibition. TM is gonna have to go for something around 30 and 15 against Denver if he wants it 3 weeks straight

Tony - 30 points, 17 rebounds in one game.

Here's the list of everyone else to get 30+ points this week. They all played 2 games.

ULL: JJ Thomas - 32 points, 13 rebounds

Denver: Royce O'Neal - 31 points, 16 rebounds

Troy: Emil Jones - 36 points, 16 rebounds

FAU: Greg Gantt - 44 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals

FIU: Phil Taylor - 35 points

FIU: DeJuan Wright - 32 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists

Even with just one game this week... I think it comes down to Tony or Greg Gantt.

I think Tony wins it again. Huge win over a better opponent (that's right, I said it) that puts your team in a 1st place tie in the West.

But, to win it for a fourth straight week, he is going go need to go for 38 and 20 in EACH game next week.

Would the conference not give it to him since he's already won it twice in a row?

Or is it purely based on the stats from that specific week?

Also, is it determined by the average of the stats, the totals of the stats, or a little of both? Tony could make a strong play for it. I think his Denver game was pretty stellar. I'm just wondering if one game is enough to give him player of the week.
