This is what the letter says:

Since 1890, UNT has been a place of transformation for our students and the North Texas region. The dynamics of change are evident on campus as well from new buildings to a deepened commitment to excellence. Driving this change is our ambition to grow as one of the best public research universities in the nation offering the best undergraduate educational experience in Texas.

To achieve this, UNT has embraced four bold goals that are the cornerstones of our new five-year strategic plan. After months of preparation, we're ready to unveil how this important plan will guide, inspire and measure our progress for the next five years. With these new goals also comes a fresh new look for our university image.

We hope you can be a part of this special event as we chart our future of excellence while celebrating the greatness of our past.

I'm sure he'll go on and on about the business building, the stadium, the expansion to the student union, and progress toward tier 1 status along with recognition of large donations recently made.

So the interesting one is the "Fresh new look for our university image," which is a bit redundant, which doesn't bode well for the English department, now does it? My completely uninformed prediction is dropping the UNT logo in favor of North Texas, a(nother) new shade of green, thus bringing millions of new dollars in revenue in people replacing (again) their old shade/logo attire. And for this, some marketing consulting firm dude probably raked in six figures and a hearty laugh.
