And, to echo Silver, could we all show up in Mean Green gear of some sort or another, please? Let's really show our colors at this first Kickoff Cookout in the new stadium.

Why would anyone NOT wear their green?

The heat. I may wear my white shirt but it does have green on it and also a 'North Texas'. It could still be around 100 at 5 pm.

Besides, I may be bringing family that don't yet have any spirit gear.

White with green is just fine.

My "concern" is that I've attended too many of these events when alums and students show up in what appears to be whatever was convenient in their closets to grab and put on as they were about to leave. And it may or may not be green.

I suppose that we all should be grateful that people show up, but can we please look like North Texas fans?

I dream of walking into our new stadium and (like the stadiums at Norman and Austin where you see a sea of red and white and orange and white) seeing a sea of green and white.

Because maybe they're brand new to the whole North Texas thing and are coming by to check it out, you know, potentially thereby increasing the fan base. Please, for the love of all things, refrain from posting photos of people in the stadium wearing the wrong color. It doesn't make people want to return. Unless there are 30,000 people on GMG.com that can fill the new stadium every game whilst wearing the perfect shade of green as measured by some secret laboratory, let people wear what they want to wear. They'll get the green shirts soon enough once they become repeat customers.
