UAB at Vanderbilt for NIT Final Four trip (3/22/23)

I know it's sacrilegious to say, but if UAB takes this, I think it'll be a more impressive win than ours versus Oklahoma State.  Vanderbilt looks like they sold out their arena and it is really into this game.

truth. if that Gaines kid gets a bit more savvy he could be better than Walker. impressive win in a tough venue.

14-1 C-USA this post-season.

Yeah, nice win. And Gaines is smooth and quick. Got to body him up with physicality. As smooth and quick as he is, he looks tiny.

The AAC is going to be fun. Basically the current top CUSA teams + the current AAC - UH and Cincy. That's a salty league.

Everyone who watched that game saw why I hate ESPN. Talk up every power 5 school like they are gods and act like everyone else should just be happy to be there!

Bein sports, CBS sports, and Stadium are not the power houses that ESPN is but I would watch mid major teams on those networks any day over ESPN.

This is because it's the narrative they're basically sworn to uphold AND they're dumbasses and live in the vacuum of the 'big conferences'.

Every team from CUSA playing in postseason is coming with us to AAC!

Exactly. It's not about CUSA. It's about 2 future AAC squads playing the NIT final 4 after beating some highmajors and FAU, another future AAC squad, playing the Sweet 16 in the big dance. Add in Charlotte winning the CBI, although there were no noteworthy opponents, and there's a decent group joining this new AAC.

I've watched almost as much ESPN in last last 30 hours as I have in the past 10 years (a couple of ESPN+ FBall games).

I'll hold my nose for about 5 more hours next Tues/Thurs to watch us finish off this NIT run, but will be glad to get back to watching MeTV, Decades, etc. which are only bothersome with their commercials for reverse mortgages, dentures, etc.  Although that annoying Lume "butt crack, under-boob" lotion commercial makes me want to punch my TV!
