I like these players!   Not crazy about the scheme they're coming into.   

Jean-Louis must believe this scheme fits his abilities though, so I expect him to come in and immediately contribute.   He didn't do a lot at IASt this past season, but he was a true Freshman, so it's hard to tell.

Langley appears to be one of those dudes who committed, then Arizona decided they liked someone else better, and just cut comms with him.   Poor guy.   Glad we were able to stay in touch & win him over.   He looks a lot like Cam Robertson from class of '22.   If he can come in and make an impact like Cam did his Freshman year, that would be awesome.

Ohio kids are tough and gritty. We need that on the defense. Don't show this to the "the teams going to suck because they don't recruit out of state kids crowd".

Always happy to take local guys that were getting interest from big schools.

The staff is working to fix the defense, and that excites me.

This is a perfect example of the type of players we should be signing. A PT lb with size that knows the 3 front and a HS kid at 6’3” 255l lbs that should be on the 2 deep. Congrats to all!

2 more committed today. We flipped La Tech WR commit Mason Ferguson. Also, former Argyle/TCU TE/OL Jasper Lott has decided to transfer here. I believe his Dad has a link to the football program.

We lost a few WRs and have brought in so much more with the portal/commits. I think outside guys saw how electric this offense was and they want in

Jasper's Dad, John, played at Denton High and North Texas.  He would have been in school from '83 - '86.  I think he played briefly with the Steelers and has been an NFL strength coach for years.  You have probably seen him running the bench press at the combine.  Jasper's grandfather, John's Dad, was Dr. Lott that taught Anatomy/Physiology at North Texas forever and was famous for being an incredibly tough professor.  I dreaded taking his classes, but am thankful to this day that I had him.

Jasper is 6'5" and weighs 295 lbs.  He was a three star - .8652 rated recruit out of Argyle HS that signed with TCU.  He also had offers from Houston, W VA, Auburn, Arkansas, Virginia, smu, Ole Miss, Missouri, Purdue, Pitt, MN, TX Tech, OK St., LSU, CO and Vandy.

No idea. He only weighed 243 coming out of high school and I think he was a TE at Argyle.
