I mean, UNT is great and all, but he has scholarship offers from Arkansa, TTech, and smoo.  I doubt we get him here on a PWO offer.

JSJ is going to Arkansas, on scholarship.

Kid can't play at Arkansas if it is a legit offer, it's to continue bringing Jerry Jones $$ into the program or even raise it.  Good call by Morris but I will gladly eat crow if Jones ever plays a meaningful snap at Arkansas.

Oh, I don't think he is good enough to legitimately compete for playing time at UArk, just stating the fact that he has a scholly offer there.

What's the worst that could happen if we give him an offer? He says no? At least he gets the chance to potentially say yes to it, no matter how small that chance may be. At least here he could battle against Martin to see if he gets playing time once Mason graduates.

Also, $.

Why is an SEC school not the right situation? Don't you think we would need to wait 4 or 5 years to make that type of judgement?

Obviously not enough offers.

Seriously, because he doesn't have the size or speed to survive the SEC.

After watching the HP/Manvel game, I have three comments.

1.  Love the signing of Martin. Yes, he was surrounded by playmakers, but he makes smart decisions and gets them the ball.

2.  We need to keep the Manvel pipeline open. Unbelievable athletes.

3. Offer Jones now. Kid was incredible, is a winner, makes those around him better, etc...  I am not a HP fan, but man he played a hell of a game.

....and that is the "intangible" that I love to see in a QB. That's why I asked about him in another thread. If he has the same throwing ability as Fine, then he would be a perfect candidate to take over when Fine graduates. Fine has that important trait that all good to great QB's, and DB's have.......their previous mistakes do not change the intensity of their play. As a coach, you can provide support for that pre-existing trait, but you cannot coach it into a player.
