Mean Green Club Reception

Got an invite in the mail today for the inaugural Mean Green Club Appreciation Reception on July 31st.

I'll most likely be there, and I think the department is pretty cool for putting it on.

I know the MGC helps raise money, but I'm fuzzy about exactly what all it entails. It's for the scholarship fund, right? And they have "package levels" where you get different swag for how much you donate? Is there anything else to it? If none of it involves actual gameday stuff, I might try to promote it out here if I start getting some alums involved in events.

Definitely push it because it does help with scholarship costs.

It's from 6-8 pm on a Wednesday night, so if you go you had better get there early as Im sure space is limited.

On second thought, the time and day are going to be a little dicey. I-35 is terrible at that time during the week and if we take the A- Train there is no way back to town unless we walk, which I enjoy doing following football games, but doesn't sound like much fun in July wearing "business casual". I will try, nevertheless, because these kinds of things are always done extremely well. I wish it were on Saturday. I have said it before, but we need to work on transportation solutions for Dallas Alums.
