Yes Or No Part 2

No. NMSU and USU are in a different time zone from North Texas. UTSA has yet to even have an opening kick off. And Texas State San Marcos is in a lower division than North Texas.

Give me C-USA or give me the Sun Belt.

I really don't have any beef with TXST and UTSA but why do they get so much talk when one doesn't even have a football team yet and TXST is still in FCS and they really aren't a dominant program? Until they make the full move to FBS then too me they are irrelevant on talking about what NT will do in their future plans.

And my answer is NO if those are the teams in the East division.

No.

NMST is the only tempting one. I wish we would continue a yearly series with them, I think the seeds of a rivalry are there in football and basketball.

UTSA and TXST are going to have to prove something before I count them in. Not saying they can't, just that it doesn't look good, especially with the state reducing funds to higher education by 5% or more this next budget.

No. LA Tech will be in the SBC before Texas State and UTSA are FBS/D1 schools.

Tech was spared joining the SBC by the WAC unequal payouts and Boise's BCS cash. With Boise out of the WAC its only a matter of time before LA Tech joins a more regional conference.
