Not for this short of notice IIRC. 27 month period of notice, and every other program has given over a 12 month notice. They paid $18m, so how much should SMU pay for 10 months?

25M.

Also, not sure of the bylaws from a monetary standpoint, but the simple math suggests that each remaining member institution could get a 575k bump in TV revenue with smu departing...hopefully.

SMU is taking a gamble of not taking any money from the ACC for 9 years.  I dont think the realignment of college football is done. If  FSU and Clemson leave for a new league the ACC will lose in place in the world of college sports.  SMU may not be invited to the magic land of the major conferences but maybe they will.   I hope we are done playing them after this year.  They are like that annoying brother in law you cant stand that shows up for Thanksgiving every year.

It’s not going to hurt in the slightest.

Cool story bro. You wanting to be included in this conversation speaks volumes about the fragility of your ego. You’re literally trying to flex on a UNT message board. You should share this with your friends and family so they can see how cool you are and shower you with the attention you crave.

Go back and read carefully, you’ll see I’m talking about the remaining members of the AAC.

You realize when the Top 50-60 programs split off soon, you won't be in it....and won't be able to buy your way into it either.   You'll be right back with us....less $200m, lol.
