We don't owe them anything!  Playing a weaker schedule, with them on it, could cause another whiff into the NCAA Tourney because of lack of enough quality wins. 

Playing Paul Quinn College and Southern Nararene did nothing for us last year except cause Andrew stress about them letting us win...

We might have played Southern Miss at Loos as I recall, but not Indiana.

The Indiana game was played at the SuperPit in front of 6100 fans 12-29-03...

I don't deny that the Denton game didn't happen but I was at Loos the night that Bobby Knight lost his temper.  I don't remember the year but I would say that it was earlier than 2018.

Since 1949 North Texas has only played Indiana two times.

In 2002 in Indiana.

In 2003 in the SuperPit...

we didn't play Tech during Knight's tenure...and the one time Indiana came played UNT in Texas it was at the Pit. maybe you saw Indiana play another Texas school at Loos, but it wasn't v. UNT

I've mentioned this a couple of fans. While not any help to our schedule, UNT Dallas would turn a few more heads than Southern Nazarene, Jarvis Christian, etc. etc.

Plus, Josh Howard autograph session postgame.

Agreed.  Would be a good question for Jared.  Seems like the main campus wants to keep their distance from South Dallas but is best buds with Frisco, Med school in Ft Worth and law school.  A bad look.

UNT-Dallas is it's own school, and UNT-Law in downtown Dallas is satellite campus under it. 

UNT-Frisco is a satellite campus of Denton.  Apples and Oranges.

Per Wikipedia...

 In 2009 it became a free-standing university, offering a full undergraduate program as well as graduate work. UNT Dallas is the only public university based within Dallas city limits.

 

Someone should tell SMU which school really is Dallas's school 😄

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
