I am CHOOSING to believe that we have a done deal with Littrell but we are choosing not to announce until after the UNC/Clemson game, if Sunday comes and goes and no announcement is made, well then my reaction will change...

As of Friday afternoon I am downgrading my attitude to:

his winning at FCS level and transitional FBS were not good enough to meet our school's lofty standards for the next coach, besides I think he told us to piss off anyways

I don't recall reading that Fritz said anything about the UNT job, good or bad. All that's been reported is that sources claimed he was interested in the Iowa State job:

I like Fritz as a potential hire. He has Texas head coaching experience and has won everywhere he went. He would know better than most the challenges UNT faces to win in this state.
