Want to know where we need to spend some money? Well here it is.

I've maintained for a year now this is where we can make some progress and carve a niche for ourselves. We have one of the best coaches in the Nation and in only her second year just knocked off the 7th ranked team in the country in Baylor. There's only one other D1 softball team in the metroplex, a metroplex that is possibly one of the hottest locations for softball talent in the country. These girls have to piss in a trailer at Lovelace and I believe have to come dressed to the park?

So if we're looking for a place for upgrades this should be where we concentrate some funding and give Coach Kee what she needs to get us on the national scene.

Yeah, facilities over there undoubtedly need some additions. Glad to see the softball team bounce back from that tournament where they dropped a couple.

The soccer stadium could use some aesthetic improvements as well. In fact, it would be best if they'd build a shared restroom concession area between softball and soccer. Baseball can have it's own.

That might be the plan however I think it is tied to building a baseball stadium. Getting that project moving will undoubtedly benefit softball or soccer.

The mock ups of the baseball stadium I was shown in the last year or two included upgrades to both softball and soccer fields that will be done concurrently during baseball construction. And the upgrades were substantial.

And by the way, there's no shame getting run ruled by the #2 team in the nation. All but like 4 or 5 of those girls on Oregon's team come straight out of California from the best programs in that state. Those are the best of the best of the best.

So just to update those who haven't been paying attention,

...we have now played so far...

#21 Arizona St

#15 Washington twice. Hung with them one game 5-2. UW is the defending NChampions.

#7 Baylor...WIN

#2 Oregon

Will Play...

#25 Tulsa today

#25 Tulsa next week.

See a pattern? That's preparing your team to be the best. To be the best you gotta go play the best and it paid off last night. That's the mentality Aston had, and part of the reason she coached Charlotte to four straight post seasons before coming west. And Kee has always done the same and parlayed that into a Hall Of Fame career.

We should give the woman every damn thing she wants or needs within reason and she'll have us playing on national TV every spring and summer like ULL does now.

North Texas loses 2-run lead late, falls to #25 Tulsa in Waco... #MGSB faces Tulsa two more times later this season. pic.twitter.com/YJDubx5Nn2

Good battle against top talent, which will prepare well for the future.

UW were not national champs last year. Florida won the WCWS.

The talks about the upgrades when they build the baseball stadium is that there will be like a nice big plaza area where Building P currently is (that building left over from Liberty Christians School that sits right in front of Lovelace) and where the driveway between Lovelace and the soccer stadium. This big plaza area will have the bathrooms, concessions and stuff that will be shared between the stadiums.

Also... I remember Mean Green softball games at Denia Park just a few short years ago. Lovelace, even with it's flaws, is wonderful to have.

I agree, but I thought at UNT this was referred to as "whorin'?"
