McNulty has played a decent game

Damn it McCarney- I don't care that we are +2 on turnovers and "came up a little short" We got our ass beat in nearly every aspect of the game. Not the post-game interview responses that I wanted to hear.

Pure coach speak on the post-game interview. That tells me Mac knows this year is done and he simply has to do his best to build toward next year.

Lots of problems with this team.

Lots.

McNulty was not great, but he had a much better game than most of the team. Any QB is hampered when the team only has one receiver. This receiving corp maybe the worst I have seen at NT excluding Harris. No one can get open or catch the ball when they do. The touted OL is average at best and the defense is awful.

McNulty did not lose this game, but I do not think that he was capable of winning this game (I do not think that he could have played better)

Rice will have a lot of tape on McNulty, and a lot these easy throws to Harris will not be there next Saturday.

I hope I am wrong.

Go Mean Green. Beat Rice

I saw a lot of slow to throw passes and short passes on long throws. An over throw on a key third down with less than a yard that should have been a run. (thanks Canales) It looked like we would have scored and maybe set a different tone for the game.

17-29 for 248. Very DT like. Lets put him in the HOF.

See what happens when you don't have TD's coming from special teams and the D?

Best post from the whole weekend. A great number of people said this last season - the special teams and defense were so good that they made up for the shortcomings of the offensive game. Which, that's a great thing to have. It's great to have a defense and special teams that can hang 21 points on another team. Hell, they become offensive units on their own.

The problem is that the offense is now having to pull the weight of the other 2, which it simply can't do and it shouldn't be asked to.

Which is why many have said that we probably would have won 11 games last year if the offense hadn't been completely and totally inept, most of the time. The rest of the pieces were in place.

Now they aren't.

Even the SMU game was largely won by the play of defense and SMU's love affair with turning the ball over.
