Rice Game vs, UNT on Halloween - National TV!

That would be great if on National TV! Think of the costumes folks could wear to the game. Little ones are often allowed to "stay up late" on Halloween anyway, so bring 'em to Apogee for the game....could even "trick or Treat" with the little folks early...it is dark at about 5PM that time of year, and then head over to Apogee...a win-win perhaps. Let's see if this becomes official...could be interesting.

Think of the great halftime show that could be developed as well.

How about we set up "trick or treat" tables at Apogee before the game...safe and fun way to grab some sugar!!!!

These are all brilliant ideas KRAM! I'm hoping this is true.

Imagine what the MOB (if they traveled up here) would do for a half-time show? Something like the "Thriller" video?

Maybe the Green Brigade could all dress up like Zombies for the night. Since they wander out on the field prior to lining up for their pre-game show anyway, dressing up like Zombies would make it look much more natural.

The dancers could dress up like Elvira.

Funniest MOB show I ever heard about was one called "The ANNUAL salute to the new football coach." The coach at the time wasn't amused. Of couse, Revelie peeing on a firehydrant didn't amuse some of the Aggies either. (Actually a some of them thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen. They aren't all insane about how they handle traditions.)

Here's an excerpt from the script to their UNT show in 2008:

Announcer:

Of course, we'd like to recognize the wonderful folks from U-N-T. Did you know that they have the largest school of music in the country? They provide thousands of graduates whose talent and creativity allows them to truly serve our community.

So, the next time you meet a North Texas grad, please remember to tip your waiter.

Prediction:

If we're 5-3 at that point (3-0 at home) the crowd will be bigger than if we're 3-5 (1-2 at home)

Despite trick or treating parents or students going to Cougar King's awesome Harry Potter Halloween extravaganza....

I'm all for hating on Cougar King but you leave Harry Potter out of this.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea...

Im not a parent, but how would you tell your kid that youre going to watch a football game instead of trick or treating...

I think the attendance will be like a thanksgiving weekend game

That's the beauty of KRAM's idea... you include trick-or-treating in the pre-game festivities Maybe have some student groups/alumni association/etc... at booths around the Apogee concourse 3-4 hours before the game. Register the kids when they come in, and have a halftime contest for best dressed kiddo for a $100 pro shop certificate. Something like that. The possibilities are endless.
