Thanks Lifer, for getting this thread back on topic.

Even though the Mean Green didn't get the wins, it certainly wasn't Dunbar's fault. The young man gave it all he had and should be revered as a catalyst for turning this program around. If he can possibly get the record he will be even more often remembered.

It's hard to compare players from different eras so, to me, Lance will be one of the best running backs in our history. I'm still partial to Abner Haynes because he was the target of every team that we played and they couldn't stop him. That was true even in the pros.

Best of luck to you Lance Dunbar, today and through the rest of your life.
