Quarterback Reece Mooney has also been removed from roster. He fell behind Cash McCollum during spring practice.

Sorry to hear this.  Are we still looking at adding baseball?  Seems like we lose good kids to the fact we don’t offer baseball as an option.

This will help with Cash's development by getting him more practice reps. Mooney still has a desire to play baseball and he wasn't going to play football for us. That is an example of how the transfer portal can be a good thing. Good luck to him.

The kid would have to be blind, stupid or both to think we had a baseball program, so I find it odd that Morris would sell that lie and mar his reputation with future recruits.  Plus, blind, stupid or both are poor QB qualities.

I think he fell behind and wants a place where he has the opportunity to also play baseball in the event his football career doesn't pan out, which at this rate, it appears to be occurring.

And to think, the mgsf paid for his education. And food, dorm, weights, training, etc. for 5 months for absolutely no reason. How is this sustainable again?

Maybe he put the seat down. 

Again, the lesson to work hard and move up the depth chart is lost in these kids. It has become, “Don’t get what I want, move along to somewhere else”.

If I'm being completely honest, I don't even really care who turns into commits. I've had a hard time caring about the recruiting cycles in football lately. You get guys, several don't even make it to campus or leave before the fall, and others end up being busts so the hype isn't even worth investing in emotionally. Basketball is more steady, IMO.
