So he was so good as a head coach at IC, he left them to be the OC at WSU?  This is a very North Texas hire if true. Count me in the group of unimpressed with Mosley’s first major hire.

My only callout is we will be competing with GJ Kinne at Texas State for those current UIW assistants on Kinne's former staff. UIW will also want a new HC and coordinators that they can promote from within.

He should be able to sell any QB on coming here and putting up video game numbers since he was Mahomes OC for three seasons. 

I do think it's really unfair how some people are crapping on the hire. To me, Texas ties don't matter, I know he will keep the offense humming, I am curious what his approach to defense and high school recruiting vs. portal will be.

Not going to say I love the hire, but fully willing to give it time and see it out.

This is definitely my concern. Offensive guys aren't usually the best at getting good defensive coaches.

Fuente likely has a higher floor, and track record.. Morris has extensive ties to Texas and track record of offensive success that people wanted in Riley…

it’s not an apples to apples but Morris I think has an on par, if not  better resume than Riley

Surprised by the hire, although at least you can see what inspired it. Morris is a name we brought up in the 2023 coaching thread all year long. 
 

He’s a Leach/Kingsbury guy. That obviously goes a long way in Texas. 
 

it’s been fun talking North Texas ball with you gents. As I transfer schools, I’ll be here posting less, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my year with the Mean Green.
