UNT jet in route to UNC

Coach Bill Lewis

It seems almost surreal. Like, we waited all week for the announcement and it finally came. Now I'm just kind of sitting around wondering what happens next. Did this really happen? Do I really have reason for renewed hope? What kind of future is that twin turbine leer bringing back with it?

If we weren't fresh off the war between the 17 and the Pissants, I could say that it's cool we are flying a fat cat's private jet to bring our newborn head coach back to Denton. That's some big-time college football right there. All we need is a couple fans on the tarmac to boo and yell when they land -- like when Auburn hired Gene Chizik. (I'm up for it if you are, UNT90.)

When we hired Corky Nelson in 1982, we drove a school bus to get him in Waco. And we made him drive it on the trip back and go halfsies on gas.

great stuff @rcade

Depends if there's been tears involved or not, I'm sure?

Rick

Those will be saved for the press conference. I expect the "other" banner to be flown right before. Tears will flow as RV thanks his "supporters" and professes his unending love for UNT.

The 17 will swoon in adorement.
