  2. What makes you think Chandler not coming? Right now Stone is getting most of the 1st team reps. Cash is getting most 2nd team reps and some 1st team. Reese is mainly 3rd team reps right now.

  3. Morris is still planing on being here in the fall practice. All indications are he is not leaving anytime soon.

  4. I have no conflicting thoughts at all. Hodge put together a really good team that competed/beat pretty much every team we played. Injuries to our veteran PG really hurt. His game management will only improve. We still have the AAC Tourney. GMG!

  5. I can't stand the mentality of "let's avoid this team, etc" especially a team with 5 conference wins. I guarantee you the coaches and players don't care. Just win the game and advance.

  6. Morris has been seen visiting practices in Denton. Let's tap the breaks on this "he wants to join his dad" stuff.

  7. Talked to his mommy after the game and he sure does. We must do everything in our power to keep him here. If we had him all season we would have won the conference in my opinion.

  8. I have conflicting thoughts when looking back. On the one hand, when healthy and hitting shots, we could stand toe to toe with pretty much anyone. But with injuries and lack of a shot we could lose to teams like UTSA. I do think Ross overall had a very good year with big shoes to fill but this team won the NIT last year. Looking at the depth that FAU displayed in terms of size and guard play last night is daunting. If we could somehow get Rubin, Aaron and Jason back and hopefully keep CJ, Buggs and Rondel and put some quality big men around them I feel like we too could be elite. If not it will be very difficult to compete in this conference with the likes of FAU, UAB, Charlotte, USF and Memphis. UAB has proven they can basically reload every year similar to WKU.

  9. You guys are talking sense. This a tough league and that’s what we wanted. We are sitting here with an opportunity that we wanted and now we have to rise. It’s kind of like we got a promotion to a better job and we’ve been working our way through it and now it’s time to just say we are gonna get it done. We are finally healthy again, I know depth is a problem, but it’s not impossible to win it. But I don’t look at this season as a disappointment. There’s been a lot to work through. Do I look at it as a success? No. But seeing through clear eyes it’s also not a disappointment. The way these guys fight and the way they play and dig so deep and care…they really REALLY care. Damn do these dudes care. And I want to pause here in this thought for a minute because that has become so very rare for kids to really care. Players don’t have this much heart very often anymore. Aaron Scott is on my mind as I type this. He is a fighter. I know he goes too far sometimes but he is a total fighter. I guess my point is.. THIS IS OUR PERSONALITY as a fanbase and I’m so glad we have a team that reflects it. Dig deep, fight for every inch. The close losses have sucked so much and we gotta fix that and there’s no other way about it. BUT I am so proud of these guys. They represent who we are so well. This is the sports I’ve wanted for so long.

  15. It's actually not post-season yet considering we still have a regular season game remaining plus the Tournament. The status to this point is we are capable of hanging with anyone, but have trouble finishing. We lack quality depth and yet are only a couple of players away from being really, really good. I hope Ross can reload now that he has seen a year as HC at this level. Spots 9-15 on the bench need players that justify more participation in games.

  17. We had some FAU fans sitting in front of us last night and they actually turned around and told me I needed to chill out because I was cheering our team and yelling at the refs. She said there was no need to get so into the game if I didn't have money on it. Lady, don't come into my house and tell me how to act. On a related note, I am so tired of paying for season tickets year after year and ending up with obnoxious visiting fans sitting around us. Just whining, sorry.

  23. Both he and Tyran Mason (our other signee) can definitely score the basketball. If that translates to the college game, we may see a more potent offense in a few years.

  25. @tmjerm is right you have to love the fight in this team no matter what the outcome this season we hung with some very good teams and won some big games despite the injuries. I feel like the injuries will always put an asterisk on 23-24 sadly.

  26. I saw somewhere that Rubin and Allen elected to not go through senior night ceremonies. It would have been a Hodge post game question.

  27. Seems about right. Thinking Morris may have been a dud hire. Can't keep players. Can't keep coaches. Can't lure players. However, he keeps coaches that don't perform. And then does nothing to bolster their underperformance. Frankly, I don't see how we are 10.

  28. IIRC, both WKU and MTSU wanted to go accept the invite from the Mac. However, the MTSU administration told the athletic department there was no money for the move. Often, schools don't actually write checks for exit and entry fees. What happens is they forego payments from conferences. The MTSU budget was so tight they could not afford to forego any payments. So they were stuck. Because it was a both-or-nothing offer, WKY was stuck also. I would think there is a new level of hatred from WKU for MTSU because of this!

  30. Thank you, good question and we very much appreciate your donation and support @Hunter Green. The Mean Green Collective focuses on men's and women's basketball. My understanding is the other collective is for football. Our collective is very lean by design and is 100% self-funding our administration. While other collectives charge up to 20% or more for admin costs, we are doing our best to get as much money to the players as possible. Our Collective is run by UNT alumni and fans who truly bleed green, we are not doing this to make money. To the many others on here who have supported our cause like @Hunter Green we can't thank you enough. Your support is making a difference in the lives of these student athletes. GMG!
