I suppose I'm not fully understanding the disappointment with our bowl opponent. Like UNT, they're a decent mid-major, and a team that we haven't played but 4(?) times in the past. I guess I just don't feel we have much room to complain this year. Sure, they aren't a "big-time" opponent, but neither are we, plus it gives us a better match-up.

I am not the least bit interested in UNLV. They might as well invite Texas St. or UTSA for a re-match. What happened to cuse and BC?

Maybe they said the same thing u are about unlv...just used our school. Be happy...it's a bowl game in our backyard. Who cares who the opponent is!!!

Not very happy about UNLV considering talk of Michigan as possible opponent. However, there will be lot's of Gamblers New Year's day weekend in Vegas. Vegas supports UNLV. All the casino's, their employee's and Vegas natives will be interested in this game and talking about the game to numours Casino guests and gamblers watching and betting on all the New Year's day bowl games!!!

All the casino sports books will be broadcasting UNT and UNLV if that's our opponent. This means great exposure to fans of all teams that don't know about UNT. If we win game it will be talked about by every gambler in Vegas who bet's on or against us. I know we're dispointed, but we could be playing an oppenant that doesn't mean anything to the largest gambling city in the US and the world for that matter.

This is PR UNT would have to spend millions on and never would and ESPN might be doing UNT a big favor!!!

We just need to bring HOD bowl win home!!!

Harry keeps bringing up the recruiting advantage, but I think there's a bigger picture here:

We are in a DFW bowl game on New Years day, and no other program in the Metroplex is in the postseason. If this is not an opportunity to paint DFW green, I don't know what is?

You want an opportunity to wake up the alumni in the area? This is it, at least a start. What if this can propel the additional 10K people we need to fill Apogee sometime next year? What if we win this thing in front of a sold out Cotton Bowl, win in Austin next year; what will our first 2014 home game feel like?

I hope our AD understands this and "recruits" every possible media outlet in DFW.

I hope we have a fan base that can create a social media trend for people to latch onto.

Every single naysayer we have had to face since voting for the athletic fee is going to be facing a concrete argument that this program is on the rise.

thanks for the edit Harry. I don't know what I did wrong with it, as I never tried embedding a twitter comment before

On the tweet you want, click inside the box of that tweet -- it will open it up and you will see a new link called "details".. just click that "details" link and then copy the address from the address bar to the top (https://twitter...) and paste it here -- post, hit refresh and that is it.
