Group G

Germany

Portugal

Ghana

United States

Groups B and D might have something to say, but that looks to me like the group of death

Group of death bro.

Germany #2

Portugal #5

USA #14

Ghana #24

We have fun recent WC history with both Ghana & Germany. If the US can advance out of this group, I will be shocked/elated. Expecting a quick exit though.

The biggest weakness on the US is at full-back...even if Cherundelo is back and fit.

The thought of Germany with the likes Muller, Schurle and Podloski and Portugal with the greatest winger of all-time bombing down the flanks doesn't really instill a lot of confidence in me.

Certainly did not mean to imply they were...the Ayew brothers and the Asamoahs will be licking their chops as well

You didn't imply. I was just bringing it up. I mean, Ghana has been a thorn in the US's side for quite some time on the WC stage.

Everyone should expect Germany & Portugal to advance, but all 4 teams are good. USA is not a pushover, especially with Howard in net. Need Jozy to have a breakout performance.

With exceptional gratitude that this thread was started in the Eagles Nest, here's my definitive breakdown of the World Cup draw.

Group A:

Mexico

Mexico

U.S.S.R

Obama

Analysis:

Looks tricky. Mexico and other Mexico could gang up, but the U.S.S.R. has nukes. You can never rule out the sneaky dirty tricks of Obama, either.

Group B:

Mexico

France

Mexico

England Jr.

Analysis:

Another group with two Mexicos. I think we can obviously rule out France, because they always surrender. England Jr. could be a dark horse... Dirty criminal tricks?

Group C:

Mexico

Greece

Obama

Japan

Analysis:

Everyone loves Greece. My money is on them and Japan. Obama socialism carries them through to the next part of the tournament. This group successfully built a wall to keep out more Mexicos, and one Mexico probably isn't enough to gang up and vote themselves citizenship in knockout play.

Group D:

Mexico

Mexico

England

France

Analysis:

England, plus one of the Mexicos. Probably.

Group E:

Germany (non-Nazi division)

Mexico

France

Mexico

Analysis:

Friendly Germany has it easy with nothing but Frances and Mexicos in their way. Good for them. Chocolate and precisely tuned watches for everyone!

Group F:

Mexico

U.S.S.R.

Al Qaeda

Obama

Analysis:

The true "Group of Death". Do you trust anyone out of that pod? If you do, you obviously hate America.

Group G:
Nazi Germany

Mexico

Obama

USA! USA! USA! USA!

Analysis:

'Murca gets to take a victory lap against Mexico, Hitler, and OBAMA before moving on to (hopefully) take down Al Qaeda for the Lombardi Trophy at the end. Should be awesome... Someone call me if one of the pretty girls pops her top off to celebrate one of our wins. And we'd better win 'em all by at least two touchdowns, damnit.

Group H:

France? Germany? Who the hell knows?

Al Qaeda

U.S.S.R.

Japan

Analysis:

The other contender for "Group of Death". Not sure where I stand on France/Germany... And I'm not going to bother figuring out which end of the stinky Euro spectrum they're actually on.

There you go. Enjoy the ties and flopping, everyone!

It's obvious that a few of the Mexican cartels got together and made sure the host nation of Brazil was replaced by 2 Mexicos. Ruthless thugs.
