Cougar High's Smashmouth Spread giving Florida State all they want, and the UH defense held FSU's ground game to -6 in the first half.

Looks like FSU made an adjustment on defense that has worked so far.

Good thing we hired an Offensive Coordinator who led his team to more rushing yards than Cougar high this season in a tougher conference. Both were almost the definition of a balanced offense.

Houston has been extremely impressive but FSU just hit on a long TD.  Great coach Hermann is.  This should be a great finish.  If you haven't been watching jump in now 24-17 in 4th.

You do realize our new HC runs a very similar offense? UNC actually ran the ball more than they passed this year.

UH looked good today.  Saw where their recruiting is ranked higher than Texas.

And with sugar daddy Fertitta heading up the BOR, UH will hang on to Herman for a while.

This game was a coaching mismatch.  Herman and staff were a step ahead on just about everything.  Also, they never played safe.  Didn't try to milk the clock with the lead, kept on blitzing.

This was proof that coaching can bridge a talent and size difference.

that gap is quickly disappearing the way UH is recruiting. They are really starting to take over the greater Houston Area hopping on the intense regional pride that Houstonites have, especially when compared to Dallas.

Exactly.  Very impressive job by Coach Herman.

On the other side of the coin, I've always thought that, outside of recruiting, Jimbo Fisher is not an elite head coach.  It's amazing to me the way LSU was ready to immediately jettison Les Miles if Jimbo was available.
