Denton Co. Hamburger replacement & BBQ restaurant coming to square

$750k being dumped into the old Denton County Hamburger place - insanity. The rooftop patio on the square should be cool, I just don't know if Denton is large enough to support that kind of expenditure.

Denton really, really needs some good BBQ.

Burger joint sounds cool. On another note, the Texas Monthly 50 Best BBQ choices where outrageous. Hard Eight and Saltlick didn't make the top 50? Please...

It's not that people didn't like the burgers... It's that Tim Love is a jerk. Fire all of your staff out of the blue and tell them they'll have to reapply if they want a job at the new place, while trashing the town it's in at the same time?

Yeah, he deserves a dig.

We liked the burgers at Love Shack, and the 2nd day they were open, we got to meet Tim Love. My older son talked to him at length, and he was pretty cool to the kid. But I have heard that Love does make the snarky comments and is more concerned about using his name to open a business than about actually keeping the place going.
