Since I see no introduction area and I really want to introduce myself before barging right in, I'll just do it here....

Hey everyone! My name is Danny and I'm from the great town of Melissa, TX. I'm currently a senior at the 2A high school (turning 3A when I leave), which is currently kicking major butt in most state-wide competitions. I joined the board because I'll be attending UNT come next academic year.

I'll be a Computer Science major, and will hopefully be including the Game Programming concentration as well.

Although UNT is already a great school, I do hope that, before I graduate from UNT, the athletics program will be much more respectable and that the university gains Tier One status. Gotta catch up to Houston somehow...

GMG!

GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!! Our basketball team don't play no defense, our stadium was built in the wrong place, and our AD screws it's best fans!!! RUN FAR AND FAST AWAY!!

But it's still better than before, right? I'd rather go to Apogee, whether win or lose, rather than Fouts. Everything else can be improved on (if we have the right people). McCarney is the right step, though I'm wondering if more than just the head coach needs to be replaced.

Hope you like marching through thousands of dead birds on your way to football games.

Hahaha wait what?

You have much to learn about the board's sarcasm, young one.

Welcome to the board. Maybe you can program Apogee into the next version of EA's NCAA Football.

I thought I knew about it, but I guess not. :P

If they ever decide to bring that game, it'll be my first priority. ;) Such a stadium can't go unrecognized.

Welcome to the board. Like Rudy said, most of the previous posts are all jokes.

We will get there and you are coming in at a good time to witness all of it.

Hopefully you will get to see the mean green go to many bowl games like I did when I was in my undergrad.

Hopefully! My high school has pretty good teams (our football team just won against New Boston, who was much higher ranked, 45-26), as well as lots of school pride, so I hope it'll carry over into UNT. :D

Houston is not Tier One. Does have better athletics though.

Ah true. They just think they are because Carnegie upped their research level or something. And maybe, but I can tell that UNT administration is definitely trying to do whatever they can to make it better (and so far getting some nice early results).
