Nothing more amusing than self-deprecating humor, so let's lighten it up and post memes about our thoughts on the upcoming game against the Tigers.6 points

I feel like it’ll go this way. But I want it to go this way.6 points

I'll check the final score, but I'm so beaten down by Littrell at this point it's hard to give a damn6 points

Jeff is currently the starting running back in San Francisco. Darden is the starting returner in Tampa. Guyton is in the rotation of receivers on the active roster in LA. What does any of their present success have to do with Mason? Darden didn’t even catch national attention until after Mason graduated.6 points

I’m confused. Are the pants going to be white or green? We have conflicting graphics.6 points

Seems pretty clear to me the player pick on the bottom right isn't supposed to represent the unis of choice.5 points

I would be OK if we always used the green helmets. Would like us to focus more on the Mean Green identity5 points

Late post, but wanted to join in on giving the Alumni Association a thumbs up on a nice, away game tailgate. They had a solid breakfast spread, the drinks were plentiful and the staff and other fans were welcoming. Thanks!5 points

Here comes an influx of fans from Hooker Killer U to tell us they are in talks to join the Big 10.4 points

🤔 So it’s ok for SMU to go after our most successful basketball coach but how dare TCU poach their football coach. The pride, arrogance and hypocrisy of that school is of Biblical proportions.4 points

Nice to see student journalists getting this story and shining a light on what happened. The truth should never be "hidden" or prevented from being known. The desire (requirement) to keep this agreement secret is a massive red-flag of some potential wrong doing.4 points

This is a great read as well. They look at TCU the way we look at SMU.4 points

Has any UNT coach ever had a good relationship with Denton schools? Surprising that year after year there are so few Denton players that stay home, or even today want to transfer back home.4 points

21-17 North Texas...I still, and always will be Green... sorry I just dont know any different.4 points

Memphis - 51 UNT - 27 This will be a wash, rinse, and repeat type of score for most games this year unfortunately.4 points

That is really, really disheartening to hear but not surprising. I know a fair amount of people and owners of businesses in Denton and they never see Seth at the mall, restaurants or any local events. It's like he doesn't even live in the city.4 points

Really proud of how the alumni association is being run these days. Just seems like there is a lot more planning and spirit than in past years. Shout out to big Mark Miller for all his hard work on the planning committee.4 points

I go to nearly every Denton Ryan game…I’ve never seen Seth there. But I’ve seen Stoops, Gundy, and Sarkesian was there last week.4 points

It's more systemic than that. We all love Mason Fine. He'll be a UNT legend forever. He was the QB. His persona and charm underdog persona was as likable as it gets. He also played with THREE NFL caliber WRs. An NFL caliber RB. An NFL caliber LT. Mason Fine was surrounded by likely the best overall collection of offensive talent in UNT history, or damn close. This is no way a slight to Mason Fine; he was the engine that made it go - but the point is that "upgrading from Aune" or developing a QB in house is great and all, but it's gonna take much more than that. We need to get some DUDES in here. We love a lot of the guys we have, and maybe some of them can end up being that.... but we need even MORE than a nice QB to take this thing where we wanna go.4 points

The University of California Board of Regents will meet soon to make a decision. Also, the PAC12 commissioner says the move could hurt the players mental health and be bad for the climate. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34646721/in-letter-pac-12-george-kliavkoff-cites-significant-financial-mental-health-concerns-ucla-move-big-ten3 points

While the Mustangs played out the 2021 season, their athletic director flew across the country meeting with coaches—a proactive approach, but also one that felt awkward. “I had to say to candidates, ‘I’ve got a head coach, but if I don’t have a head coach in a few weeks, would you be interested?’” WB should follow this strategy.3 points

Yes but the African-American community has a lot of pride for HBCUs. The same can't be said for the DFW area and UNT. Many of my co-workers went to HBCUs, a few played football at Southern, Mississippi Valley, one played basketball at Florida A&M, and even if they have an FBS favorite, there's always love for their HBCU. I've been around the Grambling/Prairie View festivities every year and really is something else. All that to say, the pride in building an HBCU to be a national power is much different than building UNT to be a national power. If a guy like Deion were to have success here using similar recruiting points, he'd probably have to go back to Leon King and Abner Haynes integrating Texas college football at North Texas and prop up our place in the history of integration of college sports. Other than that, it's not the same message.3 points

The new stadium looks like about 3 miles west of the UNLV campus. The old Sam Boyd Stadium looks like it was about 10 miles east of the campus.3 points
