When we have these road uniforms . . . . . . I'm not sure why we bother with anything else.20 points

From one warrior to another. How amazing this story is playing out? I gotta say...( as I well up with tears of pride)...one of the things on my bucket list is to finally get to meet and shake Mason Fine’s hand....and tell him thank you for all the hard work. I’ve met his mom, dad and grandma but never Mason. I look forward to that day. Rick4 points

I think they're still in denial about the SMU game. Better give us another loss in the record just in case.3 points

i like the idea! Back in the late 70's when the dorms had parking lots it was still hard to find a parking space. I lived to far from my home to go home the weekends but on Fridays the parking lot would clear as most of the DFW kids headed home (never understood why they did) . I would find my spot and not drive until the following weekend. I liked the car close so i could keep an eye on it but not sure anyone would have wanted to steal my 1973 Camero (4 speed manual transmission) , 6 cyl with NO AIR CONDITION. . Funny I could fit all my possessions into the car and that included my rather large home speakers, and my recods. I guess I didnt have a whole lot then but life was good.3 points

Liberty beat ODU 52-10. We beat Liberty 47-7. Give me: UNT 99 ODU 173 points

They need to do a "texas wrap" where the dorms wrap around a central parking garage. The dorm revenue off-sets some of the cost of the parking structure. It blocks the view of the parking and provides much needed dorm space. Pretty common in apartments these days.3 points

Coach said yes they will put up a banner but it will not be made into a big deal. He said now the emphasis is on making NCAA tournament.3 points

DRC: Steve Ramsey made a point to come to Denton to visit Maher after he became UNT's leading passer in 1984. Now Maher will do the same for Fine https://www.dentonrc.com/sports/football-maher-ready-to-pass-along-unt-career-passing-mark/article_9ba363be-9b0e-585b-8844-3d56aadce290.html2 points

I am currently saving $960 a year (3 season tickets in Scholarship Sideline). I am getting access through YouTube TV (owned by google) I went to YouTube TV for $40 per month vs the DirecTV at $120 a month. I save $80 per month and I can watch TV on any device anywhere including my tailgate. I have unlimited DVR and have not missed one second of DirecTV. I am still paying through YouTube TV for Live local channels, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Big10 Network, Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, Golf Channel, MLB Network, NBA TV, NBCSN, NESN, Olympic Channel, Tennis Channel, TNT, and Yes. By dropping the other 190 channels that I never watched I save $960 a year, but I am still supporting the sports networks I watch. I have the same internet package since I did not have TV through Comcast. Here in Houston when the 5G home (5th generation wireless) comes to my neck of town I will fire comcast as fast as possible and save another $70 per month... $840 per year. Next year, when my daughter will be a freshman on campus, I will be able to afford 3 tickets (with MGSF donation included), a Blue Lot Parking pass, and still have $106 per game for tailgating supplies by cutting the cord and finally being able to fire Comcast...2 points

An civilian should have the power to submit me to authorities/hospitals without my consent? That's a slippery slope I'm not sure I want to tread. This is such a tough subject. No easy answer. I'll say what I usually think needs to be said in this topic of conversation: I think common crime and mass shootings are two completely different realms of psychology, and shouldn't be lumped into the same discussion when talking gun control. Need to be addressed differently.2 points

https://sports.yahoo.com/bowl-projections-sec-may-not-get-two-cfp-get-three-big-bowl-games-203452292.html Back to the original subject of the thread, anybody down for a TCU vs UNT bowl in Dallas? I'd say 50k plus in attendance if this were to happen. First Responder Bowl (Dec. 26)North Texas vs. TCU2 points

Yes, in a state where guns are most heavily regulated. In California: "All firearms sales, transfers, including private transactions and sales at gun shows, must go through a California licensed firearms dealer." "It is unlawful to offer for manufacture, sale, give or lend any “assault weapon” or .50 caliber BMG rifle. It is unlawful to possess an “assault weapon” or a .50 caliber BMG rifle unless it is properly registered with the state." The above are two of the points discussed earlier in this thread. Hopefully the next lunatic is more up to date on his civic responsibilities.2 points

Hmm. I hope they don't just ho-hum this thing. It's OK to have goals for this season and still celebrate what you've already accomplished.2 points

I know the #OldDenton accusation is thrown around here a lot, but that is a legitimate McCarney-era concern. That doesn't happen anymore. We've won the week after a bye since Littrell has been here, and I don't see that stopping this week against an awful ODU team.2 points

Late to the party here, but after ESPN and cable networks have been screwing customers over for decades, I have little sympathy for them. Cable companies are becoming conglomerates, merging and snatching up every single entertainment/tv/cable/whatever company they can get their hands on. Competition is going down, regardless of how you choose to get your programs to your screens. The issue is that anti-trust laws we're written with the late 19th/early 20th century in mind. Consumers are going to continue to get screwed.1 point

We beat Angelo State 89-55 and I expect us to easily defeat Humboldt State Friday night -- all without Smart.1 point

Same with Direct TV. I pay for what seems like 5,000 channels, and only watch maybe 15. I mean, do I really need 20 channels of the same QVC crap?1 point

That's weird. I just voted and Mason was up in the 500's (#1) while Murray was in the 300's (#2).1 point

When I sitting at the game I was hoping we hit 100 points. It wasnt if we would win by how much. I later dawn on me a few years ago I just hoping we could win the game. Times have changed at UNT basketball. Duffy was way off last night but most likely an off night.1 point
