Good crowd

I tried to upload pics from my phone, but couldn't. From the top of the wing I saw at least 2k leave at half time. The stands looked a lot better from my lower level seats. The view from up here is embarrassing.

I need to clarify my embarrassing statement. This was in reference to the alumni side. Now, it was halftime and I know a lot left around that time, but if the alum would have carried our share we would have been close to a legit 23-24k. I'm guessing 3-4k in the lower bowl at the beginning of the second half.

I thought the same thing. It does not seem any brighter on TV than Fouts looked IMHO.

I disagree - I was wondering if they turned the lights up "to 11" - it seemed brighter than past games.

RV once touted to a group of SGA/SAC/GrnJackets/etc. before Apogee opened that it boasted double the lumens out of its lighting than that of other "prime time" (constant ESPN fixtures).

But. It doesn't seem to extend to the stands. The field is amazingly bright; the lack of any lighting reaching up to say the Wings greatly diminishes visibility up there and makes that section look odd - like some V-shaped silhouette.

For what it's worth, it was darker last night then it normally is. Don't know if there is something wrong with the lights or what but it was darker.

For those that now anything about photography, Apogee in the past has been 1000/sec @ f2.8 @ 1600 ISO. Last night it was 500/sec @ f2.8. Big difference. And still tons better than Fouts.

The Jumbotron speakers were cranked up a lot louder than ever before. I had to put earplugs in when I was in the south end zone. It physically hurt it was so loud down there.

I agree that the sound from the monitors is at times ear piercingly loud. I've been to professional games and other large college games at other stadiums and have never been assaulted in my ears like that. It's like they need a governer on the system that will not allow the decibels to go over a certain level no matter how loud our announcer screams into the mic. Even my parents complain about this. Do we need to hire a sound engineer or what?
