Florida Atlantic (2/11/12)

The Florida road swing is usually one of the toughest in the league to sweep. We have a chance to do it though.

FAU – 21-11, 13-3 last year – Mike Jarvis’ Owls are picked to defend their league regular-season crown with four returning starters. FAU has the leagues best backcourt, featuring two Player of the Year candidates in Juniors Raymond Taylor, a 5’6” water bug of a point guard and Greg Gantt. Senior Shaver Richardson completes the guard trio, each of whom should eclipse 1,000 career points sometime this season. Yet another guard, senior Alex Tucker, will likely become the school’s all-time assist leader during the season.

If there was any time for Forest Robinson to catch fire and burn the nets – this would be the game – it would be great to see a Forest Fire at FAU – the inside out combo of Tony and Forest could be a game winner.

This could be a knock down drag out kind of game but I still feel this is a winnable game for UNT.

Unless I'm going blind, there are no Internet feeds provided by FAU. Don't remember any other college having no Internet access to their games.

Should be a very challenging game, FAU with a boatload of good guards but overall short versus the NT guard challenged team. Mitchell should excel but it's going to rough for NT's guard rotation. Also looks like a game Niko could be a big factor in. Walton and Williams have been very good of late, and Hall not bad. Time for Norris to be a positive factor.
