This Is Just Plain Pathetic

Recommended Posts

Im not really one to pick sides between the two, since im a moderate, but I found this funny and pathetic at the same time. What an idiot...The nation is in economic turmoil and the president is giving an important prime-time speech and you go to the Britney Spears/Stripshow/Concert. I hope his constiuents vote him out in the next election. Douchebag.

Have you heard of a TiVo? Who cares about his 5th or 6th speech on TV in two plus months, people in congress had better be more informed then the crap Obama has been throwing to the American public to garner support for his overspending.

Oh no! A congressman didn't show the proper respect by basking in the glow of the Lord Messiah and Savior Obama's press conference! SHAME!

There something wrong here? Are members of Congress required to rush home and watch Obama's press conference? No. Nothing in the Constitution or Rules of the House on this.

We don't live in Soviet Russia. These aren't Politburo members who scramble over each other to show the highest respect for the Premier in order to avoid a .45 mm brain hemorrhage.

I would think he would have listened to the President's speech if for no other reason than to hear a President with a mastery of the English language.

This is not Namm...There are rules.

And let's also not forget--let's not forget, Dude--that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city--that isn't legal either.

You left out the fact that Democrat Mary Landrieu skipped the speech as well.

Actually it was reported that she was not in attendance at the tween teeny-booper concert.

Also it was a major primetime presidential news conference that aired on all major networks... So it wasnt one of those press conference that was staged to sell a fake war that has caused us to be in the financial crisis that we are in today...

Keep believing in Hope and Change and repeating the mantra. Hope that sand looks and taste good for you.

Ever hear of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. Do a little research and you will see who/what caused the financial collapse.

So now the war is responsible for the issuance of extremely risky loans to non-qualifying Americans by American companies? PLease explain.

Speaking of staged, did anyone else notice that Pres. Obama had a list of reporters and went down that list for questions without exception. Could it be that these reporters had to submit their questions before the press conference in order to get the answers on the teleprompter??? Hmmmm.

--- Didn't we hire (elect) them to attend to the business of running the country... and not to watch Britney??? With the economy in the tank, even looking like they are trying to do something to help is important. Which party they are is not the important issue.

--- It is sort of like going golfing the day after your wife dies... it may not really matter... but it sure looks bad.

Are these guys supposed to devote their lives 24/7 to sit in the House chamber? The House was not in session, I don't see the big deal. Are they not allowed to go to movies, concerts, theater performances?

Were you consistent in your opinion when Obama went on vacation less than a month in office? How about when he was absent from the Senate for almost 65% of his elected term?

---Guess you did not read the final part...

---Vacations... ??... I (or anyone of this board that I have read) have never even commented about Bush taking more time out of Washington than any other President...(true) In Washington or out of Washington, who cares.. These "vacations" aren't ever vacations as they are commonly thought of... they are working vacations away from the White House.. with perhaps a few hours "off" to gather their sanity....no problem. You are so politically prejudiced it is not even funny. If you have good reasons to state why you dislike someone ..ok.

---Notice you did not quote the attendence of any other candidate for President last year either... I'll bet their attendence was very similiar. Besides sitting in the chamber is not always what is needed anyway... I do have a lot of respect for many GOP people... Bush is not one... McCain is (did not care for his decision on VP though.. very inexperenced from the wilderness of Alaska.... had never even been in a European or Asian country) Surely you don't count the time McCain and others spent in Iraq and other trips against him as not being present.

There other factors involved with having the world largest financial power go belly up, your right. But the United States spending Billions of Dollars with a Capital B, each day in a country based on false facts was very hurtful and still is because there is no end in site. Colin Powell said it best, you break it, you fix it. Unfortanely the toughest thing America faces is its losts its creditability and financial power status as a result.

America has real and much more powerful enemies in this world theycompletely ignored all these years. If you hadnt noticed America has been in war with a little country called Iraq since 1991, thats 18 years and still going on...In the meantime, the REAL enemies have gotten alot stronger and developed alliances. The real threats are RUSSIA, NORTH KOREA, IRAN, and CHINA. While they have spied on us, developed weapons, and have the real weapons of mass destruction, we have been busy chasing an old senile dictator that possibly could have been taken out with assain's bullet, would have been much cheaper don't you think?

You do realize that congress had to ok going to war with Irag and also sign off on providing funding for the war, you are so against. Lest you forget that a bunch of Democrats voted for the war, and then started pssing an moaning saying we failed and the soldiers are nazis and air raid villages in the dark of night.

Also how can one forget President Clinton bombing a Pharmaceutical Plant in Sudan using wrong intelligence and then bungling Somalia, but that's right Clinton is hero to the Democrats.
