WSU Head Coach Jake Dickert on Morris leaving for UNT

  • Coach Andy Mac changed the title to WSU Head Coach Jake Dickert on Morris leaving for UNT

I saw where the WSU head coach was talking about the NIL and he is saying that teams are contacting kids parents in the middle of the season and offering more NIL money for a transfer.

The NCAA should take the revenue that comes in less expenses and divide the money up among all teams below the P-5 status and above the no scholarship schools to try and level out the playing field because if they don't in the end it might just be P-5 schools and non scholarship schools left.

NIL is here to stay and maybe they need to make players sit out a year if they enter through the portal.  Something got to slow the portal down because it is a run away train right now.

I don't believe that he will sneeze at the half-million dollar raise and to be back in Texas.  It's more attractive than many due to the improving facilities and fertile recruiting ground.  If he succeeds in making a contender every year of UNT in the American Conference then he'll be high on Tech's list when it comes time to replace their head coach.

We used to laugh at the AAC being referred to as the Power 6 conference.  Losing the three best teams might take a little luster off of that statement but if the potential of several of the ones added reaches fruition, the conference could return to prominence again.
