meh. a little too slow for me.

I don't think we have to wonder at all. This is exactly why it happened.

Are we not signing a transfer QB?

Major recruiting class jump from ‘23 to ‘24

If NIL was run through the universities, wouldn’t the $ amounts also have to become public? If so, what a S-storm that will be. -
touché UNT Football has conditioned me to have a short-term memory. it's healthier that way.

we ended the season with a 3K-1K-1K and lost it all to the portal. So no, we do not love the portal. what we want, is to use the portal to add to the 3-1-1. it's a lot easier to add to than to replace. then, and only then, would we love the portal.

Can we add ‘seasons left to play’ to each of the transfers? Thanks for putting this together. My head has been spinning trying to keep up with all of these.

What should our priority be: QB or Defense?

Totally agree. Sight unseen, I trust we’ll be fine at QB and look forward to seeing who suits up. -
Bookmarked for a year from now.

So when they leave us do we let them come back?

The Coach looks at it from a much different perspective than a fan, for sure. I think most coaches would agree with your stance. I think most fans would not. -
This list makes me sad

I really hate this take, honestly. What is wrong with us fans wanting to build? Convincing someone to join a 3k-1k-1k is a heckuva lot easier than assembling another 3-1-1. Remind me again of when this program has seen sustained success? As the roster continues to exit stage left, it gets increasingly more difficult to achieve that level that everyone wants.

I would think this to be correct, but man, the optics could be less than desirable. -

You think they are confident with their QB2? Do you think we are? Comparing our losses to P5 program losses is silly. -

Let’s just call this what it is. We don’t have rebuild years. We are a rebuild program. -

While true, holding on to top talent while acquiring more is what is going to elevate us to a top program. if the roster is a constant revolving door, we’ll continue to hover in mediocrity. I don’t know about you, but I’m done with .500 ball. -

How in the world did kids ever survive the playing football in college for free 20 years ago. Them must have been some tough suns a bitches to put up with such hard times. -

And sometimes they are what they are. There is a reason why these players didn't begin their careers at the P5 schools. They aren't P5 quality. If you want to be productive and compete, know your lane, stay in your lane. -
SMU doesn’t think about us like we do them. They couldn’t care less about punishing us.

Crazy. Now what?

We can talk about missed opportunities and no defense all night long. But the reality is that there is a talent gap here that we simply can’t compete with and as long as NIL exists for programs with the resources to excel, that likely won’t change. We wanted to ‘conference up’ and play with the big boys. Be careful what you wish for.
