Same.  I was really concerned when they were buried at the bottom of the standings that we'd get them in the quarters.  Now I think we'll get them in the semis.

Shockingly you appear to be right.  They used to have the #1 seeds play the early games to give them more time to rest.  Guess not this year.

Doesn’t matter. They all have to face us meaning, you all are worried about who we have to face. They have to face us.

I agree.  UTEP is my wild card team in this tournament.  I think they can do some damage to the higher seeds.  Hopefully La Tech plays some long tough games if we meet them in the semi-finals.

Absolutely. If we’re being greedy, I’d say just about the only change I’d think would make for an easier path is FAU hopping WKU for that E2 seed. If that happens it probably solidifies us vs. La Tech in the semis, which might be our opponent either way. Getting Lofton and a 7-man rotation La Tech team on their 3rd game in 3 days should play to our advantage.

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
