I hope that "shoulder to shoulder" they will "march along, striving for victory". Also that they will be "playing the game for the honor and fame and glory of UNT". If so we should dominate.6 points

Beat the sh$t out of them as a tune up for the severe a$$ kicking we deal out week 2.5 points

What a typical Ben Googong dumb ass comment. Winning does not justify the game he is playing. If you think he gives a damn about those kids or the University or if they ever graduate you're crazy. Sorry but I do not believe that winning justifies everything4 points

"Backup Quinn Shanbour hit Keegan Brewer on a busted coverage for a 96-yard touchdown and connected with Justin Cain for an 45-yard strike on the final play of the day. He also threw a pass that was intercepted by linebacker Hayden Doggett." "-- Shanbour held the ball so long at one point while looking for a receiver or running room that someone yelled "throw it" from the sideline."4 points

I hope all of you giant babies* are proud of yourselves. Pretty soon we'll be pulling down the statues of Washington and Jefferson. I have no doubt that will happen within the next 20 years. *sorry. I've been drinking. I've made this nicer... :)3 points

What historic direction are you speaking of ? The first chancellor for outer space ? I'd just like to have the NT chancellor watch her son play and attend a North Texas game all at the same time. He likely has no desire to play here. My question was if he wanted to, would the NCAA be a help or a hindrance. Go NASA GO MEAN GREEN3 points

I understand that, but the point I'm making is people on this board (not you) but others have been critical of us picking up 2* kids saying we need to go for higher ranked kids.. We have no idea what has or hasn't happened in terms of them recruiting the kid.. maybe they met with him and he said no way, maybe he doesn't fit into what they wanna do? Maybe they felt no chance and didn't jump in this late or maybe they favor guys like Bell to him at the Jack position.. Yes it's disappointing to not offer someone with this list, but we don't know what is going in the football recruiting 99.9% of the time. Us having no trust in this staff and questioning what is going will only lead to us digging ourselves into a deeper hole of mistrust and questions.3 points

The interception came after the ball was batted up in the air at the line of scrimmage. And for the record. Fine had at least one pass batted down at the line of scrimmage.3 points

IMO they should have Chumley take the snap in short yardage situations, preferably under center.3 points

I say SL sends the team out in pink. Soooo many positives: 1) Half of you will have a coronary because it's pink 2) The other hapf will have a coronary because it should have been "salmon" and not pink 3) Some will assume it's for breast cancer awareness...and will champion how progressive we are 4) Twenty years from now people can reference "that one time SL gave the fans the middle finger by sending the team in pink" while forgetting any/all of his accomplishments as a coach 5) If we win we can say "you lost to a team wearing pink" 6) If we lose we can say "of course we lost, we were wearing PINK" 7) You can't tell me that wouldn't get us on Sportscenter (For those who can't process humor, yes I am fully aware that our official school colors are green and white)3 points

Here is my bold prediction... The extra weight Fine has added in the off season helps him stay healthy for the entire year. Mason Fine throws for 2,700 yards and 20 touchdowns, against fewer then 10 picks and we win the HOD, ...beating SMU and UTSA along the way. Fine is selected to the All-C-USA 2nd team.3 points

Is there already, or enough interest to have a fantasy football league? Not looking to do a pay league just trash talking and giving you guys something new to cry about.2 points

Hmmm... they sound like they are very vague about why they kicked them off.... I am afraid for the hookers in Dallas and wondering if they found one of em dead.2 points

I'm a wizard Harry, not a doom bringer. I'm thinking we will have an all black option though, would make sense with the eclipse being tomorrow. That would be some A tier marketing.2 points

Since we're talking about doing fantasy football where we'll be busting each others' balls, than*. Also, my vote is ESPN.2 points

Side note, former player of mine Josh Jinning has been competing for a starting LB spot for them, brought him to UNT twice on unofficials we just filled up at the LB spot. He led their scrimmage today with 5 tackles. Looking forward to kicking their teeth in!2 points

Here's what I'm thinking will happen: Mason plays through the first 3 quarters and then Quinn will play the 4th quarter to get some game reps. Mason will throw for 225 yards & 3 TDs Jeff Wilson will have 115 yards & 2 TDs Defense will look good getting 1 turnover, 4 sacks, and 10 TFL Final Score: 45-212 points

This is ridiculous and I just have to thank some millennials and the parents that raised that select group that has turned this into such a hot button issue.. it will only get worse and worse from here on out.2 points

Her husband played football at the University of South Carolina, and her son currently plays for Virginia Tech. I'd be willing to guess that she is not only a fan of college football, but is also quite knowledgeable about it. I am really liking our university leadership as far as athletics are concerned.2 points

I'm curious to know what the fan base will consider a good showing by our Mean Green in the season opener. Personally I want to see what this Air Raid Offense can do. I want 60 on the scoreboard!1 point

"Jackson, the second Chancellor in UNT System history, is currently the longest-serving university system chancellor in the State of Texas and has guided UNTS and its three universities through a period of unprecedented growth since being appointed by its Board of Regents in 2002." https://www.untsystem.edu/lee-jackson-legacy I'm not sure who the first chancellor was.1 point

While in high school, I went to several games at the Pan Am Fieldhouse to watch Abe Lemons coach the Broncos. After seeing the 2,500 seat Fieldhouse, I was amazed to watch games in the SuperPit. And I remember watching Lemons come to Denton as the Longhorns coach. Great game with two amazing coaches.1 point
