I remember those who went to Spring practice talking about Burks...apparently he's from Indiana and was a high school senior in 2008...so he's already 22, 23 or so as a sophomore. Wonder if he's a military guy like Sarge.

Igboeli played corner at Texas Southern...last I can find him playing was 2008...he played in 10 games, made 8 tackles and broke up 3 passes

It's a NAIA school, my son played against them. The KCAC is a pretty good conference for that level. Not sure how Caldwell will transition to D1.

Always glad to see a kid from Trinity show up on the roster. Do an Internet search on "Willie Hubbard Trinity Football" and you can see he has some talent.

At the spring game, who was the walk on player returning punts? I think his number was 87.

Same guy that made the amazing flip on the sidelines.

Someone in the stands said this player was a WR from South Lake Carroll HS.

That was Brett Ringer from Southlake.... he should be a scholarship player at the end of the season if he keeps making plays like what we saw.

And yet he doesn't appear on the undated roster (and yes, I sorted the roster by both number and name). I hope it's just a clerical error because this team needs a player with his kind of hustle and drive.

Great last name if he can perform up to it. Would make for fun t-shirts this fall.

On Astorga, It looks like he played for Southwest Assemblies of God in Waxahachie and has evidently walked on to North Texas. His press clippings at SAG were good but obviously he is in a whole new world in FBS as a walk-on now. If he manages to stick I will try to get some more information on him.

BTW, I just started following WT White - my daughter just finished her freshman year there and my son will be a freshman there next year. SO I will be following them pretty closely and of course keep an eye on all potential UNT prospects in their district. They haven't been a powerhouse in football but that is a pretty tough 5A district with some good teams like Skyline, Jesuit, all three Richardson schools (Richardson, Pearce and now Berkner) and of course Lake Highlands which always seems to have some good D-I prospects.

W. T. White... Longhorns? Do the teams and band still have mini-me longhorn uniforms? How do you stomach your kids wearing 'horns gear?
