Just another typical leftie response.

Also, can we go ahead and spell out Bin Laden while discussing him on here? It's only 8 letters and all this OBL business is making CBL rather uncomfortable.

DG thinks that's a good idea- as soon as we figure out the correct spelling of the turd's name. Was it "Usama" or "Osama"? "Ben" or "Bin"? "Laden" or "Ladin"? :blink:

I disagree. In light of the "I" filled statement Obama gave us in his announcement the other night, despite standing on the side that has done everything it can in it's power to make it as difficult

Can you imagine being the Navy Seal that capped CBL? Man, just walk into any restuarant/bar/model convention, walk up to the prettiest girl there (who cares if she is with someone). Simply say "I am the man that killed OBL", grab her by the hand, and away you go!!

2 pages into this thread and no Chuck Norris references/cracks.

I think we all know what happened. Mr Norris walked in. Someone had the guts to fire a gun. Mr Norris roundhouse kicked the bullet back at them. The single bullet found its way to all targets before stopping in Fish Food's head.

This brings up another point. In the move Wanted, the whole curving a bullet theory was based on accounts of Mr Norris' ability to roundhouse a bullet around corners.

WASHINGTON - Officials say CIA interrogators in secret overseas prisons developed the first strands of information that ultimately led to the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Current and former U.S. officials say that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, provided the nom de guerre of one of bin Laden's most trusted aides. The CIA got similar information from Mohammed's successor, Abu Faraj al-Libi. Both were subjected to harsh interrogation tactics inside CIA prisons in Poland and Romania.

The news is sure to reignite debate over whether the now-closed interrogation and detention program was successful. Former president George W. Bush authorized the CIA to use the harshest interrogation tactics in U.S. history. President Barack Obama closed the prison system.

Don't act like the President didn't always have the resolve to do what he felt like he needed to do. Maybe he didn't believe in "enhanced interrogations" - but that doesn't mean he didn't have a laser focus on getting bin Laden. The whole reason he complained about the Iraq war was because he said it took away from the Afghan conflict - and more precisely hunting down Osama.

Frankly either/both side/s trying to score political points on this makes me sick.

Yeah, he was so concerned about the Iraq war that he voted against the surge that ultimately turned out to bring that conflict to an end, allowing us to further concentrate on Afghanistan. And to this day, and besides being questioned several times during an interview in Egypt by one of his own lib drones, Katy Couric, refuses to admit he was wrong about that vote.

      Morris didn't say anything that most of us haven't already said or felt. Quite frankly, what he said has been true for a lot longer than many of us want to admit. Our lack of commitment to athletics (whether you want to blame it on administration, students, alumni, or realistically all of the above) has set us back and has been an issue for years. It still hasn't changed, and it's going to continue to come back to bite us for years to come. There has to be a clear divide at some point, even though I would argue there's been a fuzzy divide for a long time. It's just a matter of time at this point that it becomes crystal clear. We are not going to be in the top tier of that divide. Our stakeholders (I use this broadly and there are clear exceptions) have made that choice over however many years now. It's just going to finally come to a head.

      If the basis for this is simply "not Power conference", then sure. The scholarship allotments suggest difference is level of play, though. I know NIL has negated a lot of that at the current P5/G5 level, but I would think that once you get past a certain point, outside the bubble of the P4, the impact of NIL could be watered down and you will still see scholarship limits play into the level of competition in front of you.
