Same reason Mike Vick, Pacman Jones, Lawrence Phillips, and Maurice Clarett got 2nd and sometimes 3rd chances. They are good at what they do and at some point they have to be forgiven of their sins. Same reason Briles will be coaching again by 2018. They aren't just going to go onto welfare. Also, this was apparently a campus-wide problem with 10 percent involving football players. I'd say that is more on the shoulders of Ken Starr than anybody.

I'd have to check, but my guess is the football team makes up far less than 10% of the student population.
