  1. Some of you act like you prefer Littrell not get the bonuses. Bonuses are tied to performance or record, much better than bumping up salaries from an employer prospectus.

But that should do little to take away from everything else he has done!! Extend him NOW! Start sketches for the statue NOW! Rename Bonnie Brae to Seth Littrell Way NOW!

  3. I missed the second half. Disappointing loss. But the rest of the nonconference schedule looks winnable and you've got dogshit UTSA to open up conference play to get this team gelling. Hope the guys had fun, though hopefully the tournament we attend next year has a better media partner. Now if you excuse me, I have a date with a lovely model I met online tonight.

  4. If true, he'll be fired in less than 5 years and people will wonder what happened. Well, it took him 7 seasons to do better than a 7-win season at Tulane but it looks like he built a real winner. Most programs would have fired him last season when they went 2-10. Good coaches like him flop at the P5 because the AD/boosters aren't patient enough. That said, at 62, this is probably his last big pay-day. Good for him.

  9. This is true, but this seems to be the way conferences are going to determine the teams for the championship games. Divisions are going away. We really didn’t backdoor in any more than Washington in the PAC 12 or KSt. in the Big 12.

  10. I think this is a false sense of urgency. Coaches and players are going to continue to shuffle in the coming weeks. Waiting until after the CCG will be fine. There are 131 FBS jobs, and with the facilities upgrades that have happened over the last few years and the commitment from administration at UNT, this is a better job than it was 8 years ago. There will be good candidates who want this job should it open up. I think that, should a change in leadership of the FB program be made, next year is going to be another tough year no matter who takes over.

  16. Yeah, I don't think there's "too late" or "too soon" anymore. I think with all these new transfer rules and portal moves, it's become too fluid to say there are any deadlines.

  20. why do people harp on attendance so much? it was rainy, a bit cold, so of course fair weather folks did not show up for this game. who gives a shit. if you were there, it was an awesome game. i do not understand attendance talk and whining about it. i have a guy in a text thread that bitches about it all the time, yet rarely shows up. who cares. if you want to be there, get there...if not, shut up and do not worry about it.

  22. The window to get rid of Seth has passed. The transfer portal opens on December 5th. We will be playing in the conference championship a few days before it. There’s not enough time to get a new guy/staff in place. The portal and NIL have changed the landscape of college fb.

  23. Please remember as someone already clearly pointed out that the only reason we are in the Championship game is because 3 teams left for the SunBelt forcing a change in the format. Keep that in mind.

  24. So we actually have "fans" who are worried about letting a coach go because he might do better somewhere else? That has to be the actual worst reason to keep a coach I think I've ever heard.

  25. as I was telling the wife last night.........The weather was nasty. I know it didn't rain heavily throughout the game but there was certainly drizzle most of the time. I remember a game way back when our fourth team walk on running back from Sanger went off for like 150 plus in the rain. The weather was for sure a factor in this game. Ask the Rice deep snapper....Those missed field goals looked like the ball skipped back to the holder. In short, with weather like that, you have to be happy to walk out with win, regardless of the uglyness.

  34. I know everyone keeps talking about the bowl game in relation to SL’s status. Honestly, I don’t think it’s even going to matter. My guess is the decision about whether or not to move on happens after the UTSA game. I think if he wins, he stays. If he loses, he’s gone. If he loses, the talking point will be that our expectations are conference championships and he’s just not been able to get us there. I think that’s fair to all parties.

  35. Even Google says so: Tulsa City in Oklahoma Description Tulsa is a city on the Arkansas River, in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It’s known for its art deco architecture, mostly in the central Deco District. Landmarks like the Philcade and Philtower buildings reflect a 20th-century construction boom fueled by the prosperous local oil industry. The Philbrook Museum of Art is housed in an Italianate villa that was once the home of a local oil magnate. ― Google Elevation: 636′ Denton City in Texas Description Denton is a city in Texas within the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. In its center, the striking Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum explores local history. Nearby, the Bayless-Selby House Museum is a grand Queen Anne–style home with Victorian interiors. Outdoor sculptures dot the University of North Texas campus. Southeast, huge Lewisville Lake is ringed by parks and marinas, and full of bass and catfish. ― Google Elevation: 640′

  48. Yes we do. UTSA was just led by UTEP 24-0 yesterday. They ended up winning on a last second field goal, the only 3 points either team scored in the 4th quarter. They're not the team they were last year.

  49. If UNT beats UTSA and wins a bowl to finish 9-5, I think it's ok to say we're thankful for the time he spent here and raising the standard here in Denton but still move on. Personally, limping into a conference championship game at 7-5 speaks more to the weakness of CUSA than the strength of UNT. That's not a reason to keep him. Not even if they beat UTSA on Friday. Anything can happen in one game. I'll take the body of work instead.
