SUMG introduced a few of us to Mr. Lovelace at the Coach's show. I am grateful to have met a true pillar for NT athletics and so happy to hear about another. Thanks to those who give, big, small and all amounts in between. UNT has put in place athletic directors and coaches that have led us to this moment. Those who lead this University are making decisions fully understanding the value of investing in athletics. That $1,000,000 we got in Fayetteville was chump change compared to the publicity the entire team orchestrated and executed in one play last Saturday. I am starting to believe this is Real. And that this train won't slow down anytime soon. GMG

I agree with taking things slowly but I'm tired of being compared to last year's UTSA. Last year, UTSA had their first game against a real opponent canceled (Houston), beat a bad Baylor squad with a new head coach after a huge amount of controversy 17-10, and had nothing resembling our offense. They barely knew who their QB was. Their only defensive presence was Davenport. We have a complete team and our team has been in the process of building the past 2 seasons. UTSA had none of that.

And don't you know there are more UNT families out there who are financially capable of donating similar amounts to UNT Athletics.

It’s a catch 22. I’m so excited for the players that they’re getting the media attention and all the interviews..... But I’m ready for them to stop. I’ll say this....if (IF) we come out and dominate Liberty....wow I will be impressed with this staff and this team. Everything about this game screams let down. We didn’t have a let down after SMU because UIW was just overmatched talent wise. Liberty will not be. Add to that all the attention Color me nervous....

Driving south on N. Central Expressway this morning, west side, south of "high five" and before the building with "CBS" on it. It is before the road crosses over Forest Lane. I don't travel that way often but had to see my doctor's vampire lady for a stick-and-go this morning. There is a yuuge billboard, all green, with extra large white letters saying simply " GO MEAN GREEN". I apologize for no photo but I was driving alone in morning traffic. If this is old news, I apologize again. If any of you travel that way, be on the lookout for it.
